WSUP AI at wsupai.app is still online as of October 28, 2026. No official announcement that this site is shutting down turned up on its homepage, blog, terms, privacy policy, or brand kit, and those pages do not link an official X account or Discord server to check either. The shutdown people are searching for already happened to a different product: the original wsup.ai. WSUP AI’s July 30, 2026 post says that former service closed on June 19, 2026, and on October 28 a request to wsup.ai returned HTTP 301 to now.gg.

What is online right now
On October 28, 2026, https://wsupai.app/ returned HTTP 200. The title was “WSUP AI: Free AI Character Chat Online — No Sign Up,” and the page heading was “Free AI Character Chat — No Sign Up.” The directory itself was public: characters, categories, and rankings were in the HTML, with Log in in the navigation rather than a signup wall in front of the list. The page chrome read “2,194 characters,” and the category counts on that same screen add up to 2,194.
That is a snapshot of one day. The roster count will move. What it shows is that the site was up and still presenting itself as a no-signup character chat, which is the opposite of a closed landing page.
The shutdown that already happened
The original wsup.ai and WSUP AI at wsupai.app are not the same service, and the current site says so in its own words. I looked for a shutdown, wind-down, or closure notice for the current site and did not find one. The homepage had none. The blog index, newest first, opened with an August 24, 2026 guide (“How AI Character Chat Works”) and the July 30 launch post is the only item about a closure — and that closure is the former wsup.ai. The blog URLs in wsupai.app’s sitemap include that same launch post and no shutdown URL. The terms and privacy policy are both marked “Last updated June 2026.” The terms allow the product to rate-limit abuse, remove content, and change beta features. That is ordinary service language, not a dated shutdown.
There was also nowhere official to look beyond the site. The homepage, blog, terms, privacy policy, brand kit, and launch post do not link an X account or a Discord server. A shutdown posted only inside an unlisted Discord would not be visible from these pages, so this status does not claim to have read one. Alternatives if Wsup doesn't work for you
